The second phase of IPL 2021 starts on September 19 after the league was suspended in May due to rising covid cases in the camp. The rescheduled season will kick off from September 19 with a clash between Chennai Super Kings and the Mumbai Indians in Dubai. The first leg of IPL 2O21 was called off midway as many players and staff tested positive for Covid in India.

IPL has been getting bigger and better with each year ever since its inception in 2008. IPL went on to become one of the most popular T20 leagues in the world. The cash-rich tournament provides unlimited entertainment to cricket fans all over the world for almost two months. Especially amid the pandemic, IPL brings cheers for all the cricket enthusiasts.

With some local and overseas players unavailable due to prior obligations and injuries and considering UAE pitches, certain changes are expected in the team balance. Royal Challengers Bangalore made significant changes in their squad. The team brought in Wanindu Hasaranga, Tim David, Dushanta Chameera, George Garton, and AkashDeep for Adam Zampa, Finn Allen, Daniel Sams, Kane Richardson, and Washington Sundar. Punjab Kings roped in Nathan Ellis and Adil Rashid in place of Jhye Richardson and Riley Meredith. Rajasthan Royals will go with Glenn Philips and Tabraiz Shamsi, replacing Andrew Tye and Jofra Archer. RR also had a significant blow recently as their leading players, Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes, are unavailable, and Evin Lewis and Oshane Thomas are roped in as their substitutes. KKR’s pacer Pat Cummins is replaced with Tim Southee. However, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals players made no changes in their squad.
