itzbig Get Yourself Fired Sweepstakes
Official Rules
1. Eligibility
The itzbig Get Yourself Fired Sweepstakes (the "Sweepstakes") is offered and open only to legal residents of United States (except residents of Puerto Rico) who are at least 21 years old at the time of entry. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. Employees of itzbig, advertising and promotion agencies of itzbig, and the immediate family or members of the households of such employees are not eligible. Existing members of itzbig are not eligible for the sweepstakes. Members are defined as people who have used itzbig to search for jobs and have created a profile by providing their email address and creating a password. Promotion subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. By entering, you agree to these "Official Rules" and that the decisions of itzbig are final and binding in all respects.
2. Promotional Period
Promotional period begins on March 24, 2008 at 12:00 a.m. Central Time (CT), and ends on May 24, 2008 at 12:00 a.m. CT ("Promotional Period").
3. Entry
To enter this sweepstakes your computer must accept cookies, or any successor or similar technology (whether now known or hereafter devised or discovered) that may be used by Sponsor for the purpose of entry tracking. In addition, you must register to be a candidate of itzbig as set forth below.
To enter the sweepstakes, access the promotional web site at www.itzbig.com/hired.html.
When you register with itzbig, you will receive 1 entry for the sweepstakes. You will receive 1 additional entry for every friend you refer who completes the registration process.
You cannot under any circumstances rece ive more than 100 entries into this Sweepstakes during the (30) day period covered by this Sweepstakes.
Entrants may not use any other device or artifice to obtain more than the maximum number of entries. Any entrant who uses any device or artifice to obtain more than the maximum number of entries may be disqualified.
4. Drawing
All winners for the sweepstakes will be selected by random drawing from all eligible entries received within the promotional period.
There will be one drawing within 72 hours after the promotion end date. Winners of the drawing will be notified by email within approximately 7 days of the drawing. For a winners list, send a stamped, self-addressed envelope after the end of the contest to: Contest Winner, 8911 N. Capital of Texas Hwy Suite 3-100, Austin, TX 78759.
5. Prize
One (1) prize of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) paid in one lump sum payment by check.
Odds of winning in any drawing depend on the number of eligible entries received for that drawing. No assignment, transfer or substitution of prize is permitted. Taxes are the sole responsibility of winner.
6. GENERAL CONDITIONS
Winners must complete, execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release, and where lawful, a Publicity Release within 7 days of notification. Failure to return documents timely, or if prize notification or prize is returned as non-deliverable, or if winner is found not to be in compliance with these Official Rules, or otherwise ineligible, may result in disqualification with an alternate winner selected.
Where permitted by law, winner agrees to grant to itzbig the right to print, publish, broadcast and use, worldwide in any media now known or hereafter developed, including but not limited to the world wide web, at any time or times, the winner's name for advertising and promotional purposes without additional consideration, and without notification, review or approval
Failure to grant such rights may result in disqualification with an alternate winner or potential winner selected.
By accepting a prize, the winner agrees that any Affidavit and/or Releases, and any grant of permission to use the winner's name as stated above, may be secured electronically, for example but not limited to, by email or by facsimile, and such secured Affidavit and/or Releases and permission will have the same force and effect as if any of them had been secured in a written document which was physically executed by the winner.
Further, by accepting a prize the winner releases and agrees to hold harmless itzbig from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind to person, including death, and property, arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of a prize, participation in any Sweepstakes related activity, or participation in this Sweepstakes.
Any use of robotic, automatic, macro, programmed or like entry methods will void all such entries by such methods and persons using any such methods will be disqualified.
If for any reason this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which, in the sole opinion of Sponsor, corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes and conduct a random drawing to award the Prizes using all eligible non-suspect entries received as of the date on which any such action is taken or as deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor. If the Sweepstakes is terminated due to tampering or technical difficulties prior to its expiration date, notice will be posted at http://www.getyourselffired.com.
Any attempt to deliberately damage the promotional website or undermine the legitimate operation of the sweepstakes may be a violation of criminal, and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, itzbig reserves the right to seek damages or other remedies from any such person(s) responsible for the attempt to the fullest extent permitted by law.
7. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
By participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants agree that Sponsor and their respective parent companies, affiliate and subsidiary companies, agents, directors, representatives and employees will have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind resulting from participation in the Sweepstakes or acceptance, possession or use of any prize that may be awarded. Sponsor is not responsible for printing or typographical errors in any Sweepstakes-related materials; stolen, lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete or illegible entries.
itzbig is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or telephone lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by itzbig on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof.
itzbig is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate capture of information or the failure to capture such information, whether caused by web site users, tampering or hacking, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes and assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to the web site.
